One thing I enjoy doing while I’m reading is savoring particularly nice descriptions or dialogue. (Ask my girls how much I enjoy this! 😉 ) This time of year I’m always on the lookout for particularly lovely passages for the season. When I find them, I like to share them here. I have a nice little collection already.
- Christmas with Maggie Rose, Maine coast, mid-twentieth century
- A Melendy Christmas–Carthage, NY, 1940s
- More Melendy Christmas–Carthage, NY, 1940s
Any of these passages would make a nice little copywork or dictation exercise. Even better would be reading the book itself and then using the passage for copywork or dictation!
