  1. This decade has the most books I’ve read so far. Some great books here. I loved The Watsons too. I’m going to re-read The Giver so I can then read Gathering Blue next. 🙂

  2. I’ve read a surprising few on this list – Ella Enchanted, The Midwife’s Apprentice, and the two Lowry books. Of those I have read, I know Lois Lowry’s books have stuck with me the most. Now that school is starting back I’m not making any promises on what I’ll read, but looks like I have lots of options. I know I’ve seen both a movie and play of Holes, but haven’t read the book.

  3. We’ve read a few on this list, and the two Karen Cushman books are on our list for later in the school year. I really liked “A Long Way from Chicago” as well. We started Watsons Go to Birmingham a year and a half ago or so…and we somehow felt it was dragging in the middle (I just wanted them to finally get going on their road trip…LOL!). I’d like to finish that one this month, at least myself. Not sure I can convince Miss M to read it with me. I’m thinking that Miss M and I might read “A View from Saturday” together.

  4. I’ve read a bunch of these too…but nowhere near 17, that’s impressive!

There are also a bunch that fall in the “always wanted to read but just haven’t yet” category for me so not sure what I’ll pick. Possibly whatever I find first at the library. 😉
