  1. I feel like I can catch up with this decade! : ) I actually went and looked and I’ve reviewed two 40s books for the blog before (shocking to be ahead before I knew it!) – The Matchlock Gun and Rabbit Hill – both which we read-aloud and loved. We have several of these on our shelf – Strawberry Girl, Johnny Tremain, and The Twenty-One Balloons – that I’ve not read, but I’m leaning towards at Marguerite Henry book because she’s been on my list FOREVER to get to!

  2. I know I’ll be reading some Laura Ingalls Wilder: By the Shores of Silver Lake, The Long Winter, Little Town on the Prairie, and These Happy Golden Years. I hope to read some others this month as well.

  3. We’ve already read several books from this decade, but there are still plenty left to read. I’ll have to go back and look to see which books we’ve already read that I wrote about on my blog. We already started 21 Balloons so that books is a definite for this month. I also have Strawberry Girl, Miss Hickory, and Call it Courage requested at the library and King of the Wind on the shelf…so one or more of those will probably find their way into our reading stack this month.

  4. So many to choose from! I’ve read My Father’s Dragon, all the Moffat books (LOVE them) and the Laura Ingalls Wilder ones. Not sure yet what I’ll read this month but I’m leaning towards Strawberry Girl. I know Lois Lenski from her illustrations of Betsy-Tacy but I’m not sure I’ve actually read anything of hers other than a few of the Mr. Small books. I also may revisit The Hundred Dresses which was one of my favorites as a child. My oldest just read Adam of the Road for a co-op medieval history class but I’m not sure I’ll get to it this month.
