Outside my window…It’s a cool, grey, and drizzly sort of day. The three big kids are outside in the damp blowing off a little steam before rest time and the rest of today’s lessons. Rumor has it that the little one is muddy. . .
I am thinking…about finishing lessons with the girls and how to order the rest of our day.
I am thankful…for a fresh breath of spiritual air this morning.
In the kitchen…pintos in the Dutch oven on the stove; pork chops in the crock pot; cubed potatoes with creole seasoning in the casserole and in the refrigerator ready for baking. All I lack is the cornbread and supper is ready!
I am wearing…jeans, a teal blue long sleeve tee shirt, Nikes, and silver earrings. Oh, and a clip in my hair.
I am creating…supper? Oh, and a new living room, little by little.
I am going…to pick out paint samples for said living room a little later in the evening.
I am wondering…how to fit exercise into my day and still get enough sleep.
I am reading…Emily Climbs by L.M. Montgomery.
I am hoping…I can weather the coming developmental changes with my children with grace and aplomb.
I am looking forward to… I am looking forward to Steady Eddie having a long weekend this coming weekend! We’re painting this weekend, but I love to have him home, even if it means more work. 🙂
I am learning. . .that I need to let go of certain things in my parenting.
Around the house…lots of changes. . . new floors. . . new furniture. . . new paint colors coming.
I am pondering…whether or not I should cut my hair shorter or if I should keep the stacked bob I currently have.
A favorite quote for today… “If a woman has time to spend on the internet but no time for prayer or the word of God, then she is not serious in her commitment to God, but she is serious in her commitment to facebook and blogs. As Jesus says, you can’t serve two masters.” –Sally Clarkson
One of my favorite things…a little brown eyed, dimpled three year old bringing me a dried-to-a-crisp weed from our mailbox flowerbed.
A few plans for the rest of the week. . . 4-H sewing for Lulu, CBS for us all, art class for Louise, basketball practice for both girls., a trip to the library sometime . .lessons everyday through Thursday.
A peek into my day…
