I’m in again this year for the Maud Hart Lovelace Reading Challenge hosted by A Library Is a Hospital for the Mind. It’s because of this challenge that I ever picked up the first Betsy-Tacy book and read it to my girls, so I’m looking forward to reading more of Maud Hart Lovelace’s delightful stories!
My plan for this year’s challenge is to share Winona’s Pony Cart with my girls as a read-aloud. I also hope to read Emily of Deep Valley and possibly Carney’s House Party (since it’s included in one volume with Winona’s Pony Cart) for my own enjoyment. I decided to put the Betsy-Tacy series on hold for a year or two because of the young ages of my daughters. We’ve already read the first three stories (linked to my reviews):
