  1. What a FUN package of Chinese stuff!! I, too, fondly remember getting mail from pen pals and missionaries from all over.

  2. Cynthia Rylant is big in our house but I haven’t heard of these. Will have to give them a try!

    Oh and I love the shot of the book with the little Buddha belly under it. I miss baby bellies. 🙂

I’ve had this post up on my computer ALL DAY waiting for a chance to read it! =D I saw the pictures and have happily been anticipating a quiet moment when I could see what you had to say about the book. Of course, I’m DELIGHTED that the kiddoes in your house love The Five Chinese Brothers so very much. I haven’t tried introducing it to my own kids yet. Soon though, I think. Bookworm1 is such a literalist though that I’m afraid to introduce it too early and freak him out! =)

    I also laughed to hear that Louise can write in Chinese. ha! That’s too funny.
