Will you indulge me by allowing me to share a few of the new titles that have lately been entered in the House of Hope library? Most of these came to us by way of a homeschooling mom in our group who’s schooling her last child, a high school student. She’s lightening her load, ‘though she admitted that she still can’t get rid of the read-alouds they enjoyed so much when her children were little. (I can relate, and my children are still young!) I couldn’t believe that she was just giving these away! She brought boxes to the miniature curriculum fair we had last night, and they were all free for the taking! What riches!
And the pièce de résistance:
I have been eyeing Handbook of Nature Study for a long time, but I always ultimately take it out of the shopping cart and put it back on the wish list in an effort to pinch pennies. Lo and behold, there it sat on the table last night, FREE for the taking. Was it greedy of me to snatch it up immediately?
The generosity of others in this learning community never ceases to amaze me!
