  1. I’m reading Windy Hill this month. I attempted it last year and bailed out after 2 chapters but I started again last night and I’m liking it a lot more. I also loved Downright Dencey and Trumpeter of Krakow. I might also reread Millions of Cats with my daughter. I’ve never reviewed it though it’s an old favorite.

  2. Gasp! I had no idea a picture book way back then had been a Newberry Honor recipient (Millions of Cat). That means Last Stop on Market Street shouldn’t have been such a shocking thing! I just finished the 1977 winner Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry. I hope to finish Austenland by Shannon Hale, The Creeping Shadow by Jonathan Stroud (part of the Lockwood and Co series) and this new adult non-fiction called White Trash: The 400 Year Untold History of Class in America by Nancy Isenberg.
